Each year, Americans celebrate fourth Thursday of November as the Thanksgiving Day. On the other hand, the people in Canada celebrate Thanksgiving on the second Monday of October. Generally, families follow their yearly traditional celebration of this day. The day is also associated with Turkey Day.

1. Perfectly Roasted Turkey
Time Duration To Cook: 3 hours 20 minutes
Before we start with one of our roasted turkey recipes, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Simultaneously, heat a pan and melt 1/4 pound of butter on it. Add 1-1 teaspoon of lemon juice and thyme leaves to it. Add 1 lemon zest to the mixture. Keep the mixture aside.
Now, take a neatly washed turkey and place it on a large roasting pan. Rub the inside cavity of turkey with the required amount of salt and pepper. Stuff the turkey with a handful of thyme, half of a lemon, one-fourth of onion, and a few garlic cloves. Neatly brush the outside of the turkey with already prepared butter mixture. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the turkey and tie its legs with a string.
Roast the turkey for 2 1/2 hours and then let it settle with a wrapped aluminum foil for another 20 minutes. Your roasted turkey is now ready to serve.
2. Creamy Mashed Potatoes
Time Duration To Cook: 55 minutes
To begin with, this recipe, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Peel the potatoes and slice them into one-fourth. Place the sliced potatoes in a large pot. Pour water into the pot and bring them to a boil. The process will take 20 to 25 minutes.
Drain the water from the pan and place the pan on a low heat burner. Use a masher to mash potatoes. Make sure that the more release of steam will be better for your dish. Mash the potatoes for 5 minutes and keep it aside.
Now, mix 1 1/2 sticks of butter, 1 1/2 packages of cream cheese, and the required amount of salt and pepper. Stir to mix them well, if the mixture needs thinning, add milk to it.
Mix mashed potatoes with the butter mixture and pour the new mixture into a large casserole pan. Brush the surface of the mixture with butter. Cover the pan with aluminum for and bake it in the preheated oven. After 15 minutes, remove the foil and bake it for another 10 minutes.

3. Delicious Apple Pie
Time Duration To Cook: 3 hours 30 minutes
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Mix 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Add 1 1/2 sticks of refrigerated butter and 1 large beaten egg to it. Now, to turn the mixture into a perfect dough, start pouring ice water into it. Roll the dough into a ball and wrap it in a plastic wrap.
Slice the dough in half. Roll the two halves into two perfect disks. Wrap the disks with a plastic wrap and refrigerate them to a chilling temperature for a minimum of 1 hour.
It’s time to prepare filling for our apple pie, pour the juice of 2 fresh lemons in a bowl. Add required amount of sugar to it. Toss neatly chopped apples to it.
In another pan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the recently prepared mixture to it. Stir the mixture for 2 minutes, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begin to simmer. Cover the pan with a lid and lower the flame to medium-low. Cook for another 7 minutes, until the apples soften. Strain the apples out in a colander and let it settle to catch all the juices. Return it to medium heat and let it thicken. Wait for 10 minutes until the mixture caramelizes. Set aside to let it cool.
Put the dough disk on the pie pan. Pour the apple filling evenly and cover it with another disk. Seal the pie properly. Brush the surface of the pie with egg and sprinkle sugar on it. Pierce the surface of the pie to let the steam escape. Before baking it, refrigerate it for at least 15 minutes.
Keep the pie in the preheated oven and let it bake for 50 minutes until its crust turns golden. Cool your delightful apple pie before you serve.
